The calculations in QA and DI often tend be tedious. It is important to have the knowledge regarding use of reciprocals for percentages and vice versa.

Say, for e.g. you are required to calculate 4.76% of 840 while solving a sum in DI. Here the use of reciprocal value will make it very easy. One must know that 4.76% is equivalent to 1/21 and then calculating 1/21 of 840 is far more easier than the original percentage (4.76).
