Tuesday, March 6, 2007

Squaring a number ending with five is far more easier than one could ever imagine.
e.g. (65)2

Write 25 as the last two digits. Now multiply the number before 5 in the given number with its immediately following number i.e. multiply 6 X 7 = 42.
The required answer is 4225.

e.g. (135)2
Write 25 as the last 2 digits and multiply 13 X 14 = 182
The required answer is 18225.
Try a few numbers by yourself to increase your speed.
